Patrick C. Simonson, M.H.S.A, C.H.E
Patrick Simonson in experienced corporate administrator in
both the for profit and nonprofit sectors. He served on the
administration of National Rehab Hospital in Washington, DC.
During his watch this top ranked provider evolved from a facility
under construction to a prosperous 160-bed special care center.
He developed marketing plans, was the primary staff resource
for the CEO, COO and Medical Director, was responsible for all
administrative services and worked closely with the for profit
Rehab Services Corp. Through the use of well-defined communication,
facilitation, team building and consultative skills he created
and implemented numerous business plans and managed referral
sources. While at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New
Hampshire, he coordinated the preparation and execution of all
plans to strengthen maternal/child health services, initiated
a cardiac surgery service and revised select processes in emergency
& surgical services. A profitable case mix was captured
for each venture; close working relationships with physicians
and the community were successfully established and maintained.
Patrick’s current role includes, but is not limited to,
working with clients to improve financial and operational performance
using proven, sustainable methodologies and process analysis
techniques. This involves evaluating and creating plans, recommending
personnel changes, assisting with market research, facilitating
change, providing benchmarks, executive coaching as well as
project management skills and resources. Mr. Simonson received
an MHSA, with honors, from George Washington University’s
Department of Health Services Management and Policy; a B.S,
with honors along with certification in Human Resource Management
from Indiana University of Pennsylvaia. He completed a Healthcare
Market Analysis/Planning Program at the Wharton School’s
Aresty Institute of Executive Education. Mr. Simonson is very
active in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He
was selected to participate in the 1996 College’s Future
Leaders Conference and won the 1997 Early Career Executive Regent’s
Award.
