Lynn S. McGivern, J.D., L.L.M

Ms. McGivern serves as the Privacy Manager at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago. She has written policies and procedures and provides consultation on implementation of HIPAA privacy standards. She developed and presented training modules related to HIPAA privacy implementation. Her clinical experiences provide her a unique perspective in understanding the complexities and relationships among healthcare providers and health care institutions. Ms. McGivern graduated with honors from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She received a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Kansas. She also received an L.L.M. in Health Law from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she was the recipient of the Fellow Scholarship.
