Mr. Blumenthal became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979. His practice is concentrated in the areas of Tax Law, Estate Planning and White-Collar Crime defense. He served on the faculty of Northeastern Illinois University for 10 years teaching Business Law, Individual Income Taxation, Corporate Taxation, Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting and Auditing. Mr. Blumenthal is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar and Illinois CPA Society. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society's Executive Tax Committee, Legislator's Tax Guide Committee and as Chairman of the 1999 Annual Tax Conference. He was active on the Criminal Law Committees of the Lake County Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, Northeastern Illinois University, and received a B.S. Biology. Mr. Blumenthal received a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
