Engine Registration
Search Engines are portals by which we locate
web sites on the Internet and registering with
them will maximize your website’s placement.
Every search engine is different in the way
it ranks pages that are submitted. Some look
at the Meta tags and descriptions (the code
built into your web site) where others will
not. Other engines will look at the page content,
the body text or the title.
When an inquiry is made using a search engine
with a keyword or phrase that describes your
web site’s services, it is important that
your site is the one that appears and not your
competition. Solely being registered with several
search engines is not enough. If you are not
in the top 30 rankings, it won’t matter
how many search engines you’re submitted
to.
Good placement in the search engines starts
with programming of the right elements in your
website’s code, followed by an aggressive
and comprehensive strategy to achieve and maintain
these rankings. To implement the following practices,
Attorneys Online™ will first work with you to
create a list of keywords and phrases based
on your firm’s specialties and highest
priority geographic targets.
Keyword Practices
- We research which keywords and phrases
have been searched for at least 25 times in
the past quarter and then place our bids.
It can take several days to be notified which
terms were successfully purchased. The campaign
begins.
- Recommendations are
made, as necessary, for revisions to the content
on your website in order to optimize the results
of our marketing strategy.
Search Engine Practices
- Meta tags will be created and included
on each main page of your web site. Different
sets of Meta tags are customized and varied
for inclusion throughout the main pages of
the site. Descriptions are also written specifically
for the search engines, which utilize them.
- Submitting individual pages separately
is important since many of the search engines
look at more than just the code on the Home
Page. Therefore, we list each of these main
pages individually in the search engines and
directories to maximize the potential number
of placements.
- The next set of engines your site is registered
with is called the "meta engines”
on a quarterly
basis.
