After one week of trial in suburban Philadelphia this summer, two of our trial lawyers, Ken Rothweiler and Daniel Jeck, settled their claim on behalf of a 4 year old little boy who, at ten weeks of age, was improperly discharged from a local emergency room after he presented with his mother who explained to the physicians that he had been suffering from non‑resolving respiratory problems. Following his release from the emergency room, the baby was noted to have seizures which caused severe and permanent brain damage. The proceeds of this settlement, which totaled $5,000,000, will be placed into trust for the benefit of the child so as to address his future care and needs.
